List an Opening So Families See You Have Space

Updated October 25, 2026

An opening is a room coming free at your community, and listing one tells families you have space. Open Openings from the menu, fill in "List an opening" and tap "List opening". Your listing shows as accepting new residents while any opening is open.

List an opening

Pick the level of care and the room type, and set "Available from" to the day the room is ready, or leave it blank if it is ready now. Set Rooms to how many of that kind are coming free, then tap "List opening". It shows under Open with its date and how many rooms are left.

Fill or remove an opening

Tap "Mark filled" when the room is taken, or "Mark a room filled" on an opening with several rooms. Filled a room by mistake? "Put a room back" undoes it. Tap Remove, then Remove again to confirm, to take an opening down without filling it. Both show under "Recently filled or removed".

What do families see?

The box at the top of the page says what families see right now. While any opening is open, your listing shows as accepting new residents. Once the last one is filled or removed, your listing goes back to the Availability setting on your Listing page, and the box links there so you can change it.

Add your own room types

Every community starts with a standard set of room types. Under "Room types", type a name you use, such as a deluxe suite, and tap Add. Remove takes a type off the list for new openings; openings and families already using it keep it. A location can hold only so many types of its own.

Who can change openings?

Only an organization admin lists, fills or removes openings and adds room types. Everyone else on your team sees the same page and what families see.

Families who fit an opening show beside it on the Waitlist page, where you can turn them into calls to make.
