Keep Your Community's Public Listing Up to Date

Updated October 25, 2026

Your listing is what families see about your community on Latter Years. Open Listing from the menu to find your description, prices, availability, photos, your Google listing and your answers to the questions families bring on a tour. An organization admin edits it, and everyone else on your team can read it.

Edit the listing details

Under "Your listing" you change the description, contact phone, monthly price range, availability, setting, religious affiliation, how you support residents who do not speak English, activities and amenities. Tap "Save changes" when you are done. "View public page" at the top opens the page families see. With several locations, the page shows the location picked in the switcher in the menu.

Care capabilities, payment types and pets are asked one at a time instead, so a clear no is as easy to record as a yes. Tap "Confirm your listing" to answer them.

Availability and openings

The Availability setting is what families see while you have no openings listed. While an opening is listed on the Openings page, families see your listing as accepting new residents, and your own setting applies again once the openings are filled.

Add photos and a logo

In "Photos and logo", add a logo, a cover photo and gallery photos. The first time you choose a file, a short statement appears: that you hold the rights to the image, that it shows your own community, and that nobody in it is identifiable without their written consent. Confirm it once and the upload starts; later photos in the same visit upload straight away. Every photo is reviewed before it shows, and each one carries a label such as Awaiting review, Live or Not approved, with the reviewer's note when there is one. The logo and the cover photo each need a description before they can go live. Use the arrows to change the gallery order and "Check status" to refresh. If your organization has other locations, a button under the logo copies it to each location that has no logo yet.

Is the state information wrong?

The panel called "What the state says about you" shows your state's record, and you cannot edit it here. If something is out of date, tap "This is out of date", say what it should say and tap Send. Latter Years checks it against the state record.

Respond to a citation

Families see the state's findings on your public listing. Under "Respond to your state record", an admin taps "Respond to this finding", writes what happened and what changed since, and taps "Publish response". It appears beside the finding it answers. If Latter Years hides a response while it reviews it, the panel says so.

Confirm your Google listing

The Google panel shows the star rating families see. If Latter Years matched you automatically, open the match and tap "This is us" or "This isn't us". With no match yet, tap "Find your listing", search your name as it reads on Google and tap "That's us". Paste your Google review link into the listing form too, since review invites stay paused until it is set.

Answer the tour questions

"Tour questions" holds the questions families bring on a tour, grouped by category. Answer a category at a time and save it. Nothing there is required, and a question families have asked about shows how many asked.
