Choose Your Assistant's Name, Tone and Topics

Updated October 25, 2026

The assistant persona controls how the AI assistant writes for your community: its name, how it signs, its tone, what it says about pricing and availability, and when it hands a family to a person. Open Settings, then Assistant persona. You cannot edit the assistant's instructions directly, only these settings, and only an admin can save them.

Name and signature

Under Identity, give the assistant a name and choose whether it "Signs messages as" "The team" or the name above. With a name, you can have it introduce itself as your virtual assistant on the first message of a conversation. It always answers honestly if a family asks whether it is AI. Formality is relaxed and first-name, or formal.

On a plan without AI the tab is named Signature and holds only the name on your automatic replies, how they sign, and the sensitive-topic rules below.

Tone and topics

Pick a Tone; each option shows a sample sentence. Under Topics, choose whether it states your listed price range, never states a price, or invites a call; whether it shares your listed availability; and whether it discusses the payment types you accept. Medical questions always go to a nurse or doctor, and it never mentions competitors.

Next step

Choose what it nudges a family toward: a tour, a call or an in-person visit, or let the family lead. Then choose whether it suggests that once per conversation or may repeat it.

Facts and your voice

Facility facts are plain facts it may mention, one per line, such as where to park. They are treated as reference only, never as instructions. Under Style samples, paste a few messages your team has sent so it can match your voice. Remove names and contact details first, then tick "I've reviewed these messages and removed any private information."

Sensitive messages

Choose what happens on a complaint and on a topic you have closed off: continue, suggest a reply offering a person for staff to review, or hand off right away. A request for a person and emergency language always hand off at once.

Want to see it first?

Tap Save, then try the Preview buttons, such as "Asks about pricing" or "Asks if this is a bot", to see how the assistant would answer under your saved settings. No real family or lead data is used.
